Welcome from Father Norbert Fernandes - Chair of Governors

Welcome to the Governors' Section of our School Website.

Governors play an important strategic role in a school. There are Foundation Governors, appointed by the Bishop, Parent Governors elected by the parent body, Staff Governors - the Head teacher and an elected member of staff, Associate Governors, sometimes drafted in to offer support in a particular way, a Local Authority Governor who represents the wider community and a Clerk, in our case from Herts for Learning (County) . Our work, often behind the scenes, contributes to the long-term effectiveness of our School. There are full Governing Body Meetings; though invaluable work is done through committees.  There is close collaboration with our staff to ensure our children do their very best and are happy at the Holy Family Catholic Primary School. There is much to do and think about; training is offered and continues annually. It is a wonderful act of service!
