It is our school policy that all children wear school uniform when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours.
At the Holy Family catholic Primary School we believe that wearing school uniform promotes a sense of pride in the school, engenders a sense of community and belonging towards the school, is practical and smart, identifies the children with the school and makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance.
Boys
PE Kit - to be worn on PE days
PE kits are not kept in school and are worn on PE and outdoor learning days.
School bags
Children should have a Holy Family School bag.
EYFS and KS1 children (YR-Y2) should have the school book bag style bag.
KS2 children (Y3-Y6) are permitted to have the school ruck sack style bag should they wish to.
Jewellery
On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school. The exceptions to this rule are a simple wristwatch and ear-ring studs in recently pierced ears. We ask the children to either remove these objects during PE and games, or cover them with tape, to prevent them from causing injury.
Hair
The school does not permit children to have ‘extreme’ haircuts, this includes shaved hair. If hair is long enough, it must be tied back, whether for boys or girls. Hair accessories should be small and should be of school colours, red, white or grey.
Sun hats
In the summer months all children should wear The Holy Family School hat whilst outside.
All logoed school uniform, including hats and bags are available from Your Team Sportswear, please follow the link below:-
