We have been investigating pumpkins.

We mixed the paint to make orange. We painted our own pumpkins and used the seeds to make faces.

Pumpkin fun!

We have had great fun with conkers. We threaded them to make friendship necklaces and we enjoyed conker rolling in the paint!

We have been learning about Autumn. We looked at the artist Andy Goldsworthy and talked about how he creates his work. We then used natural items to make our nature art.

After learning about hedgehogs hibernating, we made hedgehog homes in forest school. We worked in a group to find leaves, sticks and grass to keep our hedgehog warm.

We listened to the story 'Leafman'. We made our leaf character and thought about where it would fly and what it would see.

Father Norbert welcomed us into our school family at our welcome service.

We used the loose parts to make self portraits.

We have been looking at how we have changed since we were babies. We looked at our baby photos and talked about how we have grown.

Our families.

We used wooden blocks to draw on to make our homes.

We have been thinking about how special our families are. We looked at our family photos in our welcome area, then we used some stones to represent our family.

After listening to the whole school story "and tango makes three" we decided to make own books.

We used the internet to find out some facts about penguins. We've been rescuing penguins from ice. We used loose parts to decorate eggs. We also explored different materials to make warm nests for our eggs.

We have been thinking about how we are all different, but all special- we looked in the mirror and used the interactive whiteboard to draw our faces.

This week it was Clive's birthday. We talked about birthday celebrations and ways of celebrating being us. We sang songs, made tunes with the instruments and made birthday picnics! Happy Birthday Clive!

We practised counting out candles onto the birthday cakes.

For phonics, we went on a sounds walk around school. Our big ears helped us listened to quiet sounds and loud sounds.
