We have been learning about the birth of Baby Jesus. We retold the story in our Nativity performance to our friends and family.

After listening to the Nativity story, we followed the stars around the field. We read the instructions on each one and did the actions together.

We talked about how we celebrate Christmas. We decorated boxes and made special gifts for our families.

We have been retelling the Nativity story by making our own scenes on the interactive whiteboard.

We enjoyed sharing all our learning with our parents at our topic morning.

We joined Y3 for the Santa run on the daily mile track.

We made story maps to retell the story.

This week we have enjoyed the story "We're going on a bear hunt". We joined in with a sensory story telling.

We used loose parts to make our own Rangoli patterns.

We made diva lamps and lanterns to remember how Rama and Sita followed the light home.

This week we have been learning about Diwali. We listened to the story of Rama and Sita and retold it using pictures and characters.

We went to the memory garden for our minute silence for Remembrance Day. We placed our poppy and wreath on the cross to remember the soldiers.

We used the loose parts to make poppies.

We went on a poppy hunt around the field. We made a mark for each poppy we found, then we counted them all to find the total. We used our fingers to show our partners how many poppies we found.

We made junk model fireworks.

We talked about how to keep safe with fireworks. We made sparkler safety posters and put them around school to keep everyone safe. Then we had some sparkler fun!

We have been thinking about Bonfire night. In forest school we worked together to make bonfires with sticks and leaves. Then we toasted marshmallows.
