Extra - Curricular clubs
We believe that education is much more than passing exams.
We provide a wide range of extra activities for the children to show the talents that curriculum lessons might hide.
Recorder lessons are available in school and visiting tutors from the County Music service provide tuition in violin and woodwind instruments.
We are also proud of our sporting achievements- we have teams competing (and often winning) in football, netball, lacrosse and kwik Cricket tournaments through the Welwyn/Hatfield Sports partnership, and in some district events as well. We send a strong team to the Gosling Athletics meet each summer.
We run extra curricular clubs such as football, tennis, dodgeball and netball. Some of which are run by external companies.
At Christmas, the juniors perform a carol service at Holy Family Church and KS1 and the Foundation stage perform Nativity plays at school.
Year 6 lead the juniors in the summer play and the children Year 3 & 4 perform the Easter Story at the end of the Lent term.
We run book weeks, science evenings, languages days and arts events, all designed to give the children more experience of different types of learning and new opportunities.
The school also gives use of its premises to breakfast and after school clubs.
The after school club - Runs every evening after school from 3:15pm-5:15pm. The children are collected from their teacher and escorted to the club area and are provided with a healthy snack and drink. For more information contact Gail Manning on 07903 241583.
